I'd like for the sound to be balanced better with the voice and other instruments, but I'm satisfied with this recording for practice.
I was using the chord chart to guide which notes I would play next, sometimes connecting them with scale segments in between. I know that when there's a "7" behind the chord name that there's a minor 7th interval on top of the chord, like in the case of C7 = C, E, G, Bb. (Except in the case of the Bdim7 chord which means four minor thirds stacked together like this: B, D, F, Ab.)
