I’ve spoken about not letting your goals take over your life… about being present… about planning your day.
Truth is, I had to learn this the hard way.
There was a time when I thought being “locked in” meant 24/7 tunnel vision. Every hour had to be productive.
Every moment had to move the needle. If I wasn’t working toward the goal, I felt guilty.
And what happened?
I was chasing the future so hard that I wasn’t even living the present. I’d win on paper… but feel empty in real life. I realized something: goals are powerful, but they’re terrible masters.
What changed for me was simple , structure.
Instead of letting ambition run wild in my head all day, I started breaking things down. Planning my day.
Assigning time slots to what actually mattered. Deep work had its place. Training had its place. Family had its place. Rest had its place.
And when I was in one of those blocks, I was fully there.
That’s the key.
When you give your goals a container, they stop spilling into every corner of your life.
You become more focused. More productive. And ironically — more at peace.
How are you going to win the week.?
But don’t lose your life trying to win it.
Who can make the smallest change that will have the biggest impact?
