Don’t forget your Identity is in Him.
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NLT‬ As you walk out the door today, speak this verse over yourself first and then over your kids. Our actions come from what we know to be true from within us. Our reaction is a reflection of our inner most beliefs of ourselves. You are a new creation in Christ. Live it out!

Give Him the Glory
How have you been gifted by God to serve others, including your family? If all we do is meant to glorify Him how have you been able to do that?

How are you spending time with your kids?
Creating time and space for quality conversations, modelling the values you hold is so important. We had some time off over the last couple of weeks and most days were beautiful like this. We made the most of it and daily took a blanket out to some local parks and enjoyed the sun. We all took books and sat there and read and talked. It was amazing. Time outside. Time talking about important things and seemingly silly things. Growing together. How do you spend days like these?

How are you spending time with your kids?
It's okay to feel tired...Jesus has overcome your challenge already
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.” Matt 11:28-30 TPT In Australia, kids are heading back to school after our Easter break, and there are mixed feelings from each family as you talk to them about this time each term. It breaks my heart, and I know that it breaks the Father's heart when we are wishing our kids away from us for whatever reason, because your family; the marriage you have, the way you parent, was to be a reflection of how the Creator God sees us. It doesn't always feel like that. Jesus knew that living by the principles laid out in the Word would be hard for fallen people...and that's where GRACE comes in. Matthew 11 says that carrying the burden of "parent" on our own will lead to exhaustion. However, the empowerment, through GRACE, to live the best way is about handing that challenge , that burden, over to Jesus. He replaces that with his teaching...Jesus has taken the sting out of this fallen world through his death and resurrection. Hand the burden over to Him. See all parts of your parenting journey as joy...not as easy...but as JOY! If you are not having the parenting experience you expected, that's okay. Seek God for perspective, for insight and for revelation as you are reading the Word daily. What has been revealed to you this past week?
