"She Made It" - My 2am Passport Crisis Story
This is why I don't panic anymore. 2am. Text message. "JaQuay, I was robbed. My luggage and passport are gone. My flight to Tulum is today at 4:57pm. What do I do?" Most agents would freak out. Cancel the trip. Lose the client. Here's what I did instead: 8am - Walked her through getting to the passport office (she arrived at 9am) Instructions - Told her exactly what to bring (boarding pass, itinerary from me) 2pm - Her emergency passport was ready 4:57pm - Original flight time (too tight) 5:58pm - We pushed her flight back an hour no additional cost She texted me through EVERY step: → "I'm at the passport office" → "They're processing it now" → "I have my passport!" → "I'm through security" → "Boarding now" Final text: "I made it."
