Perspective Shift
Many of us were raised to believe that more is always better.More money. More work. More hustle. More achievement. More someday.
But what if wisdom sometimes looks different?
The Story of the Fisherman
An American businessman visits a coastal village and meets a fisherman returning early in the day.
“You’re done already?” the businessman asks.
“For today,” the fisherman replies.
“Why not stay out longer? Catch more fish. Buy another boat. Build a fleet. Grow the business.”
The fisherman smiles. “And then what?”
“Well, then you could make enough money to retire.”
“And what would I do then?” the fisherman asks.
The businessman replies:
“You could sleep in, spend time with your family, take naps, enjoy good meals, play music with friends, and live peacefully.”
The fisherman smiles again.
“I’m already doing that now.”
