What if one of the greatest influences on your financial success isn’t how hard you work, but how you’ve learned to relate to other people? We spend so much time talking about manifestation, abundance, entrepreneurship, and building successful businesses. But we don’t talk nearly enough about the psychology of relationships and how our earliest experiences of love, safety, trust, and belonging can influence our ability to succeed. Because success doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through relationships. And some of our most influential relationship patterns begin long before we ever enter the workforce. 💖 Your Relationship With Your Mother and Your Ability to Receive In Family Constellations, there is a teaching that our relationship with our mother represents our first experience of receiving life. Our mother is the person through whom we entered this world. Hellinger believed that our ability to take in life, love, support, and abundance is symbolically connected to our willingness to receive from our mother. Think about that for a moment. What happens when a child learns that they cannot depend on their mother? Perhaps she was emotionally unavailable, overwhelmed, rejecting, neglectful, or unable to provide the safety that child needed. The child may develop an unconscious belief: I can’t depend on anyone. It’s safer to do everything myself. If I need someone, I’ll only be disappointed. Receiving comes with strings attached. These beliefs may become protective adaptations that follow us into adulthood. And now imagine that same child grows up and becomes an entrepreneur. They have a wonderful business idea. They’re talented, hardworking, and capable. But can they ask for help? Can they receive mentorship? Can they trust a business partner? Can they allow someone else to contribute to their success? Or are they still unconsciously organizing their life around the belief that they must do everything alone? Hellinger’s teaching is a symbolic way of exploring this relationship between receiving life and receiving abundance. It isn’t scientific proof that our finances depend on our relationship with our mother.

It's October so we will be working and honoring our ancestors. We will decide what focus we want to take with who attends. Options include: 1) reclaim a lost/stolen ancestral inheritance 2) connect with a resilient/powerful/ spiritually advanced ancestor 3) find and begin to resolve an entanglement. So many spiritual traditions work with the ancestors- and it seems we don't highlight the power and importance of our lineage enough.

It could also be from being a psychiatrist- a morphic field of categorizing people into levels mental health. We can look at every obstacle we encounter to become an opportunity to develop greater spiritual power, wisdom, and self-mastery. A wonderful teaching comes from the Chinese word for crisis, wēijī (危机). The first character, wēi, refers to danger. The second, jī, refers to a critical or pivotal moment. In other Chinese words, this character is also associated with opportunity. ⭐️I love the spiritual interpretation of this. A crisis is a pivotal moment. And a pivotal moment can become an opportunity to create something extraordinary.⭐️ Our perspective influences how we respond to the circumstances before us. When we consciously direct our thoughts, language, and intentions toward possibility, we begin developing the mindset and skills necessary to navigate even our greatest challenges. Speak Life Into Your Circumstances The word and concept of wēijī (危机) is reflected in Christian teachings as well. In Christianity, we find a beautiful teaching in Proverbs 18:21: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Consider what this means for the language we use every day. Our words influence our beliefs. Our beliefs influence our expectations. And our expectations can influence the actions we take and the possibilities we recognize. When we describe a situation as hopeless or impossible, we can unintentionally reinforce feelings of helplessness. But when we begin speaking in terms of possibilities, solutions, learning, and personal empowerment, we create space for a different experience. Instead of asking, “Why does this always happen to me?” We can ask, “What can I learn, develop, or transform through this experience?” Instead of focusing on everything standing in our way, we can begin identifying the resources available to us. This is what I mean when I talk about consciously choosing language that speaks life into our circumstances. It is an important part of the subconscious reprogramming work I teach through Ascension Psychology. And this concept extends far beyond Christianity.
