Celebrate wins and lift others up — no harsh criticism, ever. 2️⃣ No “Perfect Loaf” Pressure This isn’t Instagram highlight reel territory — it’s a learning space. Share your real bakes, messy crumbs, and lessons learned. Progress > perfection. 3️⃣ Ask “Why” Often Curiosity drives growth! Don’t hesitate to ask questions — big or small. Every question helps someone else learn too. 4️⃣ Share to Teach, Not to Sell We love sharing knowledge, not sales pitches. Please avoid self-promotion, affiliate links, or unrelated advertising. 5️⃣ Respect the Table No unkind behavior, divisive topics, or language that makes others feel unwelcome. We bake better when everyone feels safe here. If any such behavior is seen or reported, you will be warned once and ONLY once! If such behavior occurs again, you will be banned from the group! 6️⃣ Credit Creators If you share a recipe or method from someone else, give credit. We value learning and integrity. 7️⃣ Keep It Organized Use the right topics for your posts (Starter Support, Baker's Banter, etc.) so others can find and learn from your experience easily. 8️⃣ Celebrate Others Comment on posts, cheer others on, and be generous with your encouragement — community grows when we all contribute. 9️⃣ Share Feedback Gracefully If offering advice, frame it kindly: “Here’s what’s helped me…” instead of “You did that wrong.” 🔟 Enjoy the Process - HAVE FUN🎉 This space is about learning with joy and connection — not rushing results. Your timer goes off. Your dough looks at you like… “you sure about that?” Recipes give times. Dough gives clues💡 Some days 4 hours is perfect. Some days it’s not even close. Instead of asking “what time is it?” try asking: • Does it feel puffy? • Does it pull away from the bowl with ease? • Not too sticky? • Does it feel alive, not stiff? The timer is just a suggestion. For those of you advertising your bread for sale...
If you post on social media, hotplate, or have a website, how are you getting good pictures of your bread? I have a really well-lit kitchen, but my pics come out too yellowy, and if I take pics outside, they are too bright and almost washed out from the sun. The loaf is outside, and the focaccia is inside. Even with a ton of editing, these make my bread look like garbage!

Today we shared our frustrations about our dough🤣 ❓️Why our dough doesn't hold its shape for scoring after cold proofing... ❓️Is it shaping? Proofing times? Poor gluten development?
