Stop Giving Your Days Off to Your Boss
Picking up extra shifts feels like easy money. In reality, it mostly helps the owner. Every time you say “yes, boss,” you take away their reason to hire and train someone new. You end up more tired and more stressed, and once tax comes out, you’re barely better off. In this video I break down: - Why extra shifts help the business more than they help you - What they do to your sleep, diet, training and mood - The real hourly maths of a hospo wage compared with what’s on your payslip - How to use your two days off to build your exit instead - If you need the money, how to do extra shifts with a time limit, and put every dollar into your exit fund That’s exactly what I did. I used my time off to qualify, build my client base, and replace my chef’s wage on my own roster. 👇 In the comments, tell me what you’d build with your two days off.

PLAN YOUR EXIT STRATEGY NOW
53% of hospitality & shift workers want to quit! Wanting out isn't a plan. 🍳➡️🏋️ I went back to full-time hospo for the wages, and it cost me years. Here's what actually got me out: ✅ Built the business while still getting paid ✅ Dropped to weekends only, work your side hussle Mon–Thu ✅ Saved a runway before walking ✅ Pick the exit date on purpose

PLAN YOUR EXIT STRATEGY NOW
I took a $30K pay cut. Best decision I ever made.
2021–2024 in hospo: $110,000 a year, 60 hours a week. That’s about $35 an hour. 2026, full-time with Tranzit Fitness: on track for $80K, working 35 hours a week. That’s over $40 an hour. Less money on paper. More money per hour. And 25 hours a week back. I didn’t leave hospo to get rich. I left to get my life back. 30 years of doubles, split shifts, someone else’s roster, no weekends and constant stress. The aim was simple. Replace your hospo wage, don’t beat it. Once that’s covered, you get: - More time - More freedom - More flexibility - Less stress - Your own roster That’s the exit. You don’t have to blow up your income. You just have to match it on your own terms. In the video I open my actual tracker and walk through it week by week. 👇 Comment your hospo wage and your real weekly hours, not your payslip hours. That’s your first target.m
