Signs and Markers
Have you ever looked back on something and realized the signs and markers were there all along. From the day my youngest son was born, his existence in the world was hard to ignore. …and I’ve always been curious to know if other families of extraordinary kiddos experienced any of the same signs and markers. Incessant crying. Night terrors. Brilliant… genius level ability to problem solve, build and engineer at an incredibly young age, sensitivities to scents and colors (yes colors) , oh and day care centers saying he couldn’t return. As young parents we didn’t know what to make of the things we were experiencing. We knew our kiddo was different, but the signs and markers we were given should have prepared us for what was to come….it didn’t.
Has there ever been a moment in your journey that only made sense in hindsight?

Homeschooling chose me, and even with a neurodivergent kid we tried everything. The kids are grown now, so I’m sharing our test‑fail‑fix journey.
