A very unexpected surprise today...
One of the professional communities I recently joined, Top Voices Unite, chose to feature me and share my work on LinkedIn. What made it especially meaningful wasn't that the feature was about me—it was that they chose to highlight one of our People, Pets & Planet podcast conversations with @Robin McKay and the importance of sharing the stories and wisdom of holistic practitioners. It reminded me why I started this community. I truly believe there are so many knowledgeable, compassionate practitioners whose work deserves to be seen and heard. If we can help amplify one another's voices, we all benefit—and more importantly, the people looking for support can more easily find the help they need. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far—our guests, members, collaborators, and supporters. Every conversation, every comment, and every connection helps create a ripple effect. And thank you to Top Voices Unite and Market Me More for this thoughtful recognition. It was completely unexpected and deeply appreciated. Here's to many more meaningful conversations and collaborations ahead. 💚 Read the whole story on Linkedin (41) Post | LinkedIn Here is the original SKOOL post https://www.skool.com/top-voices-unite/have-you-met-arlana-yet?p=c095fc5c

A very unexpected surprise today...
✨ Marvelous Monday Musings... and a little celebration! 🎉
Our People, Pets & Planet community has officially reached 20 members! 💛 That may seem like a small milestone to some, but to me, it represents 20 people who have chosen to step into this space, explore holistic wellness, share ideas, and be part of something that is still growing and evolving. Thank you for being here. Whether you post, comment, join a conversation, or simply stop by to read and reflect — you are part of this community. 🌿 As we continue to grow, I’d love for this to become a space shaped not only by what I share, but by your questions, experiences, discoveries, and conversations too. And if you know someone who would genuinely enjoy exploring wellness for people, pets and planet, please feel free to invite them into the conversation. 🐾🌎 Feel free to share this link :) https://www.skool.com/holistic-we-wellness-community-5810/about 💭 My Monday musing for you... If you could choose just one, what would you most like to see more of in this community? I know choosing just one is hard! 😄 So cast your vote for your top choice, then tell me in the comments what else you’d love to see — or share something completely different. This community is still taking shape, and I’d genuinely love your voice to be part of where it goes next.

No more Coffee Chat :(
I have decided to cancel upcoming Coffee Chats. We will be doing some special events over the summer, but for now, schedules seem just too busy. Be sure to stay tuned!

PET SAFTEY in HOT WEATHER (as posted in Moving Beyond Words)
☀️ HOT DAYS FEEL DIFFERENT TO THEM 🐾 I know we love our pets. We want them to get exercise and in many cases, we want them with us. While we may be enjoying the sunshine, our animal companions experience heat very differently than we do. They can’t regulate their body temperature the same way we can, and the ground beneath their paws may be far hotter than the air around us. Over the past few days, I’ve noticed so many people out walking their dogs along the boardwalk — often during the hottest part of the day, on pavement that has been baking in the sun for hours. While many understand that is it too hot to leave our pets in the car... there are some other things to consider. 🐾 A few simple reminders for hot days: - 💧 Keep plenty of fresh, cool water available. - 🌳 Make sure they always have access to shade and ventilation. - 🐾 Check the pavement before walking — if it feels too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws. - 🌅 Choose early morning or later evening walks whenever possible. - 🚗 Never leave an animal in a parked vehicle — even for a few minutes. - 🎾 Reduce strenuous exercise during peak heat. - 🏠 When temperatures are extreme, sometimes the safest choice is simply to stay indoors and find other ways to play, explore and connect. And please know the warning signs of overheating: heavy panting, excessive drooling, bright red gums or tongue, weakness, vomiting, unsteadiness or collapse. If you see these signs, move your animal to a cooler place, offer water, begin gentle cooling with cool — not ice-cold — water, and contact a veterinarian immediately. 💛 Part of loving them is remembering that they experience the world through a different body than ours. Before heading out, ask yourself: Are the conditions safe for my pet? Sometimes the most caring choice is to wait until the sun goes down. 🐾☀️ If you want more Animal specific info and conversation...
