Hire a VA Ads are back on! 🎉
I had ads running for Hire a VA on Facebook for a while. And they weren't working the way I needed them to. Not because Facebook ads don't work - they do - but because I was using the wrong platform for the wrong audience. I learned something at a Skool owner meetup a while back that changed how I think about this: Google is for intention. Social media is for discovery. A business owner who is drowning in admin and actively searching "help with office paperwork" is not scrolling Facebook looking for solutions. They're on Google, typing exactly what they need. That's where the Hire a VA directory belongs right now and first. So I rebuilt the campaign from scratch - a clean Search campaign at $5/day, targeting business owners actively searching for administrative help. No Performance Max. No Display Network. Just search intent, curated keywords, and ad copy that speaks directly to the business owner who is doing too much alone. The things is - I had to learn all this. With the help of a course and Claude. Will we go back to Facebook ads? Yes. Eventually. Facebook is where we'll build awareness and discovery for Hire a VA once the Google side is converting. But right now Google is the right move. After I was done, Claude AI documented the entire setup into an SOP - every step, every setting, every pitfall we hit - so I can reference for the next round and I'm sharing it with you. I attached it here for now but it's going in the classroom. If you're a VA thinking about running ads for your own business one day, or if you ever want to offer ads management as a service, this is a real example to borrow from.

MEDICAL VAs: Opportunity in your Community
Ladies with medical experience.... the opportunity to provide simple remote services is all around you and in abundance. I have a doctors appointment in a bit at a facility where I will be a new patient. This place was rated THE BEST in our county, and it was referred to me by another business that was rated THE BEST in their industry in our county... So naturally I expected they'd be up to date with their systems etc... I'm not throwing shade, but I want you all to pay attention here.... They asked me to complete my forms before arrival. Cool. I thought I was going to get some HIPPAA compliant system set up to log into. I was actually eager to see what medical facilities are using these days for my own learning purposes. NOPE. I got a PDF of an OLD set of scanned documents. They're not even e-fillable where I can complete electronically and print. You know what's gonna happen when I walk into that office today, right? PITCH JULY starts at 3:25 PM !!! 😆 Thing is - my son's pediatrician and dentist - same thing. Tired looking paper forms. At the very least, I can provide clean presentable versions. When I say there is opportunity to provide remote services and make a decent purse in your community - I mean that literally. Think about the last time you went to any office where you had to complete paperwork - were you doing that manually or digitally? If manually - could the forms use an update? What's stopping you from pitching services to a place like this?

Quick question for the VAs in here 👇🏽
Does anyone use Apify? For those who don't know, Apify is a web scraping tool that pulls publicly available data from Google Maps, websites, and directories and exports it into a clean spreadsheet. Think: a list of local businesses in any niche, in any city, with their contact info already included. As a VA this could be a game changer for: - Building targeted prospect lists for yourself - Building lead lists as a service for your clients - Market research for clients in specific industries I'd love to know yoru use cases for it.

Do you record your client calls? Respectfully ofc. 😆
I use Notta AI [that's an affiliate link] to transcribe every call I'm on. My AI bot is always in the room and everyone who hops on a call with me knows it. The reason is simple: the transcript doesn't lie. My notes do. Here's what recording your client calls does for your VA business: ✅ Serve them better - go back and catch every detail so nothing falls through the cracks ✅ Build custom proposals faster - their exact words and pain points are already in the transcript ✅ Spot new service opportunities - clients tell you what they need in conversation all the time without realizing it. The recording catches it so you don't miss it. ✅ Create SOPs without sitting down to write them - the transcript does the heavy lifting ✅ Cover yourself - what was agreed to is in writing. No he said she said. 🚨 Always record with permission. Always. 🚨 The work you're already doing in these client calls is generating assets you're leaving on the table every single time you don't hit record. Start hitting record. 🎙️ What tool do you use? Drop it below. 👇🏽 Attached is a screen shot of the notes captured from my last open work session. It was about starting our email list! 😉
