When someone has been in sustained pressure for years, their body learns to stay alert, vigilant, and braced.
Real recovery starts when safety replaces urgency, not when effort increases.
I spent so many years being in pressure mode and didn’t even know it until I started doing the inner work and learning about different modalities and tools that I have been able to release the pressure. It’s a continued process unlearning and reframing.
