Don't beat yourself up for struggling.
Beating yourself up for struggling with a heavy load only makes the burden heavier.
You have navigated an immense amount of difficulty, yet you often still expect flawless progress from yourself. The Buddha taught that while hardship is an unavoidable part of the human condition, we do not need to multiply our pain by being our own harshest critics. The core of mindfulness is learning to pull your attention away from the overwhelming vastness of the future, choosing instead to focus entirely on the single step directly in front of you.
You do not have to solve your entire life by tomorrow morning. Offer yourself the profound grace of patience, take it exactly one day at a time, and trust that simply showing up and trying your best is absolutely a must.
