Lucky Noodles & Egg Fried Rice Chinese New Year is all about family, fresh starts… and FOOD! ❤️ Some foods are eaten because they have a special meaning. 🍜 Long noodles = long life 🍚 Rice = togetherness and good fortune This week we’re cooking together as a family. Would you try noodles, rice… or both? 🍜 Lucky Noodles (Long Life Noodles) 🛒 You Will Need: - 200g dried noodles - 1 tbsp oil - 1 clove garlic (optional) - Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, peppers, sweetcorn – whatever you have!) - 2–3 tbsp soy sauce - Cooked chicken or tofu (optional) 👩🍳 How To Make It: 1️⃣ Cook the noodles in boiling water (ask an adult to help). 2️⃣ Heat oil in a pan. 3️⃣ Add garlic and vegetables – stir for 3–4 minutes. 4️⃣ Add the cooked noodles. 5️⃣ Pour in soy sauce and stir well. 6️⃣ Serve and enjoy! ✨ Try not to break the noodles – long noodles symbolise long life! 🍚 Easy Egg Fried Rice 🛒 You Will Need: - 2 cups cooked rice (cold rice works best!) - 2 eggs - 1 tbsp oil - Mixed vegetables - 2 tbsp soy sauce 👩🍳 How To Make It: 1️⃣ Heat oil in a pan. 2️⃣ Crack eggs into the pan and scramble them. 3️⃣ Add vegetables and cook for a few minutes. 4️⃣ Add rice and stir well. 5️⃣ Pour in soy sauce and mix everything together. 6️⃣ Cook for 3–4 minutes until hot. 💬 Let us know: 🌟 Can you spot the longest noodle on your plate? 🌟 Who can use chopsticks the best? 🌟 What vegetables did you add?
