SLTS Play through with new guitar

Santa brought me my first electric guitar just in time for the SLTS playthrough. The guitar is an Epiphone Les Paul Custom. It is very responsive, has lots of power, and is very comfortable to play. I still have a few days before the end of the month to hammer the sing with the new guitar into a listenable level :) Any advice is much appreciated as usual.
