It’s Day 3 of the 3-Day Strumming Challenge and here are my final reflections 🎸🔥 Did I complete all 3 workouts? Yes Today’s biggest challenge: staying relaxed Today’s biggest win: playing it quite well Did I record my final video? Yes Did I post my final video for feedback? Yes What I learned about my strumming through this challenge: I learned how to practice it to become natural to me. What I want to work on next: recognizing which strumming to use for each song and adding chords to strumming
New lesson 🎸 Train Your Fingers for Cleaner Chord Changes
A lot of students struggle with chord changes because their fingers aren’t moving cleanly or independently yet. It's not a finger problem ✋ - it's a brain issue. 🧠 This exercise trains your brain to send the right signal to each finger. It only takes a couple minutes a day, and you can make it easier or harder depending on your level. You’ll find the full lesson here, and the PDF tab is waiting for you in the classroom. Come back and let us know...which finger combo was the hardest for you??

@Jake Galambos Yes I have bar chords in mind. I tried practice that you suggested and I chose the easiest one. With that I mean only moving one finger up and down and others are staying still. The hardest thing for me was to make pinky finger still. Until now I never used it and it was very hard to keep him still. In the next days I will maybe record a video of the excercise.

@Andrew BRight yes, I agree.
🆕 New lesson: Fixing clunky, awkward strumming (fast)
A few days ago I was working with a student who was struggling to change chords in time. At first he thought it was a “chord problem.” But the moment he stopped strumming, he could change the shapes just fine.The real issue was his strumming hand...it was too tense, too much pick in the strings, and it threw the whole rhythm off. Once we fixed that, everything locked into place. His chord changes got smoother without even practicing them. I made this short video because if it helped him, it’ll help a lot of you too. It breaks down the real cause of clunky, awkward strumming, what to do instead, and a simple exercise you can start using today.(There’s a free PDF inside the classroom linked below as well.) It’s only 4 minutes. And you can watch most of it at 2x if you want. Just don’t keep fighting your strumming when this fix is so simple. Here’s the new lesson: ⬇️ #Understanding How Strumming Works

@Jake Galambos I realised I always have been doing up and down just with thumb. I just tried as you suggested and it somehow feels right, although I am not used to it.

It’s Day 1 of the 3-Day Strumming Challenge and I’m starting strong 🎸🔥 Today’s Workout: The hardest part of the workout for me was clapping and strumming with note Em. What felt surprisingly good today was that I could turn of my brain when strumming mute. Breakdown: • Counting along: Easy • Counting the strum: Easy • Clapping along: Easy • Clapping the strum: Hard • Strumming: Okay • Adding the chord: Hard Did I record my video today? Yes Did I post my video for feedback? Yes One thing I want feedback on: →I strumed with my thumb up and down, because I have been doing it so until now. Should I get used to strumming down with thumb and uo with index finger, which feels right?

@Jake Galambos thank you a lot for that feedback. I really feel the difference already. Rythem is not my fear anymore, but more of a constant that is finally starting to bring peace in my mind.
