The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram illustrates how bamboo is processed into textile products.

All in all, there are three primary stages in this process, beginning with the cultivation of bamboo and ending with the production of garments. In addition, the process involves both natural growth and a series of mechanical and chemical treatments.

In the initial natural stage, bamboo plants are grown during the spring and are harvested by hand in the autumn. After harvesting, the stalks are cut into strips using a circular saw. The final mechanical step involves crushing the strips to produce a liquid pulp.

With regard to the chemical processing stage, it begins when the pulp is filtered to separate the longer fibers. Water and amine oxide are then added to soften the fibers, allowing them to be spun into threads. These threads are subsequently woven into fabric, which is finally used to manufacture clothing products such as socks and T-shirts for retail.
