I wrote a beginner guitar method years ago that has note-reading as its main mission. Chord vary by genre, so I left these out to allow the student some ownership over the journey. Started a 7-y/o on it yesterday, and he’s excited to start learning. It starts with a major scale, and he’ll have it down by next week I’m sure.
