What mark will I leave behind?
I’ve been listening to the book “Sell like Serhant” and it’s got me thinking. What kind of mark do I wanna leave on the world? When people say my name, what thought will be attached to it? Until recently I’ve been working like a dog to get my machine built and I’ve never asked myself what my end goal really is.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had TONS of goals along the way. But to decide who I’m gonna be in the face of everyone is an interesting concept.
I know that I want to give love and be generous. I know that no matter the outcome, I will die empty. But I want to be someone who has inspired others to punch the scary stuff in the nose. Attack your fears and live beyond them. I disagree that we’re only born with two fears. The fear of falling and the other One I can’t remember. But I think we have a third fear. The fear of failure. It’s ingrained in us!
We fear it because it means we’re going backwards. We fear how it makes us look. We fear lost time, effort, and money. We fear people will stop believing in us or think we are stupid because our dream didn’t work. We fear losing the ground we’ve gained.
I want to inspire people to destroy their fears. Attack them like a fight. They will always come out of the shadows and try to derail your greatness, but if you have a plan and you are willing to try, the odds of your life being extraordinary are on the other side of the fear.
That’s what I want people to say about me. He showed me how to be fearless and he showed me what was on the other side of courage. I saw opportunities and they took them because Cory showed me how to get back up.
And that my friend is what I hope you get from this group. This is how you get back up. This is how you seize the day. These are the opportunities that will change your life. And I wish the best for you.
