Hi I am new to this app

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. My community is more or less ready, but the more I work on this, the more I have doubts about what I am doing. It is a weird feeling. I am not complaining about the platform, but about the outcome. I have run several forums in the past for my company maxprog.com, one with free phpbb.com and the other with the paid xenforo.com platform. The first one failed to upgrade at some point, and the other ended up full of spam and almost impossible to manage. None of them reached the critical level where people started talking to each other; I mean, those two forums were support forums. It only added more work since I had to read the new post every day, and very rarely did people respond in my place. Boring, boring, boring. I even run Disqus on most of my website pages. No spam, no community feeling, just people asking for help, me responding, and Disqus failing to notify me when new stuff was posted. After 5 years, I gave up. So, I am afraid of running into something similar; rather than being happy visiting my community, I will have my mailbox full of messages and the community full of people looking for responses. 🤔 I like helping, but I don't like repeating the same thing again and again.
