This radioactive isotope of Americium is produced synthetically and has a half-life of 50.8 hours. So ideally in about two days (or less) we will see a 236 on Discovery aligning well with: Americium-240's decomposition into neptunium-236 through an alpha decay process. At least we should be moving in a better direction...!
