“When I Finally Let Go” — A Conversation Between Me and Jesus
Me:Jesus… I tried. I really tried.I prayed, worked hard, cried, waited, stayed strong when I wanted to break.I kept hoping things would change, but I’m tired now.I don’t have strength left.I think… I’m giving up.
Jesus:My child, are you giving up… or are you finally giving it to Me?
Me:I don’t know anymore.I just know I cannot carry this pain, fear, stress, and waiting by myself.I tried fixing it, understanding it, forcing doors to open.I’m exhausted.
Jesus:I saw every tear.Every night you stayed awake.Every prayer you whispered when no one else knew you were hurting.I never left.
Me:Then why did You let me struggle this much?
Jesus:Because I needed you to learn something:You were never meant to carry everything alone. You kept holding the weight with trembling hands while I stood beside you saying,“Give it to Me.” Me:But I was afraid.Afraid nothing would happen.Afraid You forgot me.
Jesus:Forgot you? Never.I was protecting you from things you could not see.Closing doors that would have hurt you.Teaching your heart patience, trust, and faith.I was not silent—I was working.
Me:So what do I do now?
Jesus:Rest.Stop trying to control what only I can carry.Do your part, but let Me be God.Trust Me with what you cannot fix.I am already ahead of you. Me:Jesus… I’m tired.
Jesus:Then come sit with Me.Cry if you need to.Be still for a moment. You do not have to have all the answers today. Me:What if everything falls apart?
Jesus:Then I will hold you together. You are not walking alone.I know the ending of the story, and I have not forgotten you. Me:So… You still got me?
“Sometimes giving up is not losing faith. Sometimes it is finally placing everything in God’s hands.”
