“We Were Created to Love… Even When We Forget”
One day I was sitting there, a little annoyed at people, a little tired, and a lot dramatic.
A
I said,“Jesus… I’m done. People are too much. I think I’ll just love You and ignore everyone else.”
Silence.
Then in my heart, I felt Him smile and say,“Oh really? That’s interesting… because I created those people too.”
I sighed, “Yes, but… some of them test my patience professionally.”
He replied,“I didn’t ask you to love them because they’re easy. I asked you to love them because I am love.”
I tried to defend myself:“But Lord, what about the ones who are difficult?”
He gently answered,“Especially those. That’s where you become more like Me.”
I paused… then said,“So… You’re telling me I can’t unsubscribe from people?”
And I felt this deep peace with a little humor:“No unsubscribe button. Only ‘love again’ and ‘try again.’”
I laughed.Because somehow… even when I want to give up on people,He never gives up on me.
