Me: sighing dramatically “What if tomorrow goes wrong?”
My daughter: “Mom… tomorrow didn’t even text you yet.”
Me: “Still. I feel like it’s planning something.”
Jesus: “Planning? Yes. But not against you.”
Me: “Wait—so I don’t need to worry?”
Jesus: “You can… but it won’t help your cooking, your sleep, or your peace.”
My daughter: “And definitely not your famous hummus.”😄😄😄😄
Me: “Hey! My hummus is holy.” 😇 You know
Jesus: “Exactly. So why stress when you could season life like your food—simple, present, full of love?”🥰
Me: “But what about tomorrow?”🤔🤔🤔
Jesus: “I’m already there.”🙏🙏🙏
My daughter: “So basically… Mom, you’re worrying about a day that already has Jesus in it.”
Me: “So… it’s God’s problem?”
Jesus: smiling “It’s not a problem. It’s a plan.”
My daughter: “See? You relax. Let Jesus handle the future. You just handle dinner.”
Me: “Okay fine… but if tomorrow burns, I’m blaming you both.”😂😂😂😂
Jesus: “Then I’ll bring grace… and maybe dessert.”😍😉
Verse“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” — Gospel of Matthew 6:34
PrayerLord Jesus,Sometimes my heart runs faster than my faith.I try to carry tomorrow before I even finish today.Teach me to trust You more, to breathe in Your peace, and to live fully in this moment You gave me.Remind me that You are already in my tomorrow, preparing, protecting, and providing.Help me choose gratitude over worry, faith over fear, and joy over control.Amen.
