Canada Changed Me, But It Didnโt Change Who I Am ๐๐๐
โDo not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.โ โ Romans 12:2๐๐๐๐
After almost three years, Canada has truly become my home.
It is different from the home where I was born, grew up, and was raisedโBethlehem. Yet God has been teaching me that home is not just a place. It is where He plants you for a season.
The journey has not been easy. Learning a new culture, understanding different ways of communicating, making mistakes, asking questions, and trying to fit in has stretched me in ways I never imagined.
But I chose to be willing to learn.
I chose to listen.
I chose to ask for help.
I chose to receive god blessing in different ways
Most importantly, I chose to keep asking Jesus to heal my heart and guide every step.
I didnโt leave behind my values, my faith, or my boundaries. Those remain the foundation of who I am. Instead, God has added new layers to my life.
Today, Iโm a Christian from Bethlehemโฆ and a proud Canadian lady. Thd best Iโm Italian in my heart and soul ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ
If you had told me years ago that Iโd naturally say, โSorry,โ โOh boy,โ โHey bro,โ or even, โWelcome to Canada, man!โ I probably would have laughed.
Yet here I amโa new version of myself.
Not because I lost who I was, but because God continues to shape me into who He is calling me to be.
Growth doesnโt mean abandoning your identity.
It means allowing God to refine you while staying rooted in Him.
And for that, I am grateful.
