Principal business activity code
Hi everyone,
On the IRS page for ecommerce businesses, it states that non-store retailers (essentially ecommerce businesses) do not have a specific code. Instead, you are required to use the principal business code corresponding to the primary type of goods you sell. In my case, this would be apparel. However, I also plan to sell electronics and other products.
What would be the appropriate code in this situation, or how should I proceed? I am referring specifically to filling out Form 5472, Part 1, Sections 1d and 1e.
