A mistake when filled SS-4 form
When I filed SS-4 form for the first time I've chosen a Single Member LLC and puted 1 into members count field.
Later, when I've seen @James Baker video, I've decided to form a Partnership and sent a new SS-4 form with 2 members and Partnership as a business form.
I've sent all this by the fax on 10th of March. Today when I called IRS by the number 8008294933 they sent me the fax with my EIN number during the call.
On that EIN letter I do have the following :
FIRSRNAME LASTNAME SOLE MBR
The IRS officer told that my company is shown as Partnership. But shouldn't it be MBR without SOLE written? The answer of the officer was not very confident.
What he told me is to send a letter to the IRS and ask them by the address (no phone number):
333 West Pershing Road Mail Stop 6055 S-2
Kansas City, MO 64108
Should I do it? Should I send the letter or I should call the IRS by the number above once again and ask for another EIN number?
I believe the letter to IRS wouldn't have the insant respond. Please help.
For partnership members - do you have MBR or SOLE MBR after your name on EIN letter?
