GPT-5 Models No Longer Show Temperature Setting
Heads-up for anyone using GPT-5 models in GHL 🧠
The GPT temperature setting is now hidden when you pick any GPT-5 model — including GPT-5, GPT-5 mini, nano, and 5.1. This isn’t a bug. It’s a cleanup move by GoHighLevel to reflect how the models actually work.
OpenAI has locked the GPT temperature setting to 1 for all GPT-5 models. You can’t change it, so GHL removed the slider when those models are selected. Clean interface, less confusion.
What does this mean for you?
  • If you’re used to dialing in temperature for tone and randomness, now you’ll guide it through your prompt instead.
  • Use system instructions or clear formatting requests to shape the output.
  • If you still need the old slider, switch to GPT-4 or GPT-3.5 — those models still support it.
This is a quality-of-life update. It trims out settings that don’t apply and saves you time when building or updating workflows.
Try it out. Build a quick test flow with GPT-5 and see how it feels without the temp slider. You might not miss it.
And if you’re managing workflows for clients or teams, this makes your builds cleaner and easier to explain.
Less guessing. More doing. 🔧
