Facebook background posts are now built into GHL Social Planner, and it’s a solid quality-of-life win. ✅
If you’ve ever opened Facebook just to make one of those colorful text-only posts, you can stop doing that. You can now create the post, choose a native background, preview it live, then publish now or schedule it right inside GoHighLevel. 👍
Here’s what’s included:
- You get a Text Background option inside the Social Planner composer when Facebook is selected.
- You can browse background presets and apply them instantly.
- You can see a real-time Facebook-style preview while you type.
- The text auto-resizes based on length, so you can spot “too much text” before posting.
Now the important part, the rules.
- Facebook backgrounds only work for text-only posts. So GHL handles it automatically:
- If you add an image or video, the background option turns off.
- If you edit a scheduled post and add media, the selected background is removed.
- That sounds strict, but it saves you from scheduling posts that won’t publish the way you expect.
How I’d use it for clients:
- Post quick promos without waiting on design.
- Share short reminders, updates, or hours changes.
- Drop weekly tips that are easy to read in the feed.
- Fill gaps in the content calendar without creating more graphics.
If you want a simple target, try this:
- Schedule 5 background posts this week and compare reach and comments to your normal text posts. You’ll know fast if it’s a fit.
