If your contact timelines are starting to look like a junk drawer, this update is for you 😅
GoHighLevel just upgraded the Add Notes workflow action so you can add:
- A note title (optional)
- Contact note colors (optional)
And yes, it matters.
Why? Because workflow notes pile up fast. When everything looks the same, your team skims, misses context, and follow-ups slip through the cracks. Titles give quick clarity. Colors give instant visual sorting. Together, they make the contact record easier to scan and easier to trust.
Here’s how you’ll actually use it in the real world 👇
- Sales workflow drops a “Quote Sent” note in Blue
- Onboarding workflow drops “Intake Complete” in Green
- Support workflow drops “Needs Attention” in Red
Now anyone on your team can open the contact record and understand what’s going on in seconds. No hunting. No guessing.
Basic setup is simple: Open Workflows → edit your workflow → add or open Add Notes (Add To Notes) → enter a short title → pick a color → Save Action → Publish.
Pro tip: keep your color system small. Two to four colors max. If you use ten colors, nobody remembers what they mean, and you’re back to chaos… just prettier chaos.
This is one of those “tiny change, big payoff” updates ✅ Cleaner timelines. Better handoffs. Fewer missed steps.
