Google AI Search bar Update
I know this is non-SAT relaited, but I think this could help others. If you own a personal (Samsung) Chromebook, you may have noticed this update.
Under your search bar, you're greeted with two new buttons [Do more with AI Mode] & [Create images]. Personally, I didn't like that. If you don't like it either, and want to get rid of it, this post is for you 👋
1) Right click your top search bar. Look for the option labeled "Always show AI Mode shortcuts" or "Show AI shortcuts" in the context menu. Click it to uncheck it (As shown in the 2nd image, unmark it)
2) In a new tab, search: chrome://flags (now, DO NOT touch ANYTHING unless I tell you to. Should look like slide 3)
3) In the "Search flags" box at the top, type AI Mode or NTP AI.
  • Locate the flag named AI Mode Omnibox entrypoint (or NTP AI shortcuts, or NTP Realbox Dynamic AI Mode Button.)
  • Click the dropdown menu next to it (which currently says Default or Enabled) and change it to Disabled. (As shown in the 4th slide)
4) In the Search flags bar at the top, search for and Disable each of these three flags:
  • NTP Composebox (or search composebox) -> Change dropdown to Disabled (as shown in 5th slide)
  • NTP Next Features (or search ntp-next) -> Change dropdown to Disabled (refer to 6th slide)
  • NTP Realbox Next -> Change dropdown to Disabled (look at 7th slide)
  • Make sure the two flags you modified earlier remain set to Disabled as well:
  • NTP Realbox Dynamic AI Mode Button (4th slide)
  • Omnibox Dynamic AI Mode Button (8th slide)
5) Shut down your Chromebook or Sign out, either way, the 2 buttons should dissapear.
