FFEL is a private community of members that are directly or indirectly involved in farming and land management in the county of East Lothian. It has been created through the Farm Cluster Connections project led by Propagate supported by the Scottish Government Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund.
It is intended to enable farmers and land managers to explore options around more regenerative and nature friendly farming practices that are being encouraged by the Scottish Government through gradual changes to their national agri policies. It is also seeking to promote farmer-to-farmer communication to create efficiencies, enable farm clusters to develop and support access to agri-environment funding.
FFEL is led by local charity Balanced Horizon and supported by the East Lothian Climate Hub. We will be organising a series of events over 2026-27 bringing the experience of leading specialists in relevant fields. We will also establish platforms to support improved local communication.
