Split handstand
- have you ever had a student who had a really hard time with the split handstand? I have found I don’t even particularly like to do it with just my toe against my wall/door in the march. I can do it, but I can only release my back foot for maybe a second. It feels really uncomfortable I guess because I can’t get out of it easily when I tip forward. Trying to do a free split HS march was a big fail (1st try today). I prefer to get my legs up overhead more. Is the split HS a necessary precursor for doing a good HS walk and eventually hold?
