Why I started this community.
Welcome to the community! I want to share why I created this group. At 37 years old, I was diagnosed with diabetes. For the next 17 years, I relied on insulin—taking as much as 40 units a day. Then one day, after reviewing my blood work, my nee doctor told me something that changed my life: “If you focus on your nutrition and exercise, there is a good chance you may be able to come off insulin.” That was the moment everything changed. I set out on a journey to transform my health—not just to lose weight, but to become the healthiest version of myself physically, mentally, and spiritually. Like many people, I was confused about what to eat. We live in a world filled with fast food, processed foods, and conflicting advice. I wanted to understand exactly what my body needed to thrive. So I committed to learning. I focused on: Eating real, nutrient-dense foods Exercising consistently Prioritizing sleep and recovery Supporting my body with personalized supplements Developing the right mindset Today, at 56 years old, I can honestly say I am in the best shape of my life. I am no longer on insulin. I still learn every day, but I have discovered that when you give your body what it truly needs, amazing things can happen. That is why I created this community. My mission is to help busy Type 2 diabetics and the everyday person to lower their blood sugar, lose weight, increase energy, and build a sustainable lifestyle they can maintain for life.
