After going round for round with Jefferson Capital and being hit back with verified. I had to step back and sit out a round and ask myself ok what do I do now. Some may know this feeling of being dazed for a moment just before you go back into the fight. Now you've got to realize that I filed a dispute directly with them (JCS) , followed by filing a dispute with the FTC, then filing a complaint with the CFPB, and list the previous dispute and FTC Affidavit. The Law says that it was supposed to be removed in 4 or 5 days. So I was feeling like the fight was over and I had just officially issued a kick azz to the said forementioned parties (like boom, bam knocked them out). But in response, I receive a notification that says it's been verified, we are not removing the $1546 charged off collection will remain on your report. But Glory be to the Most High that I can never give up without taking my win with me. I pressed forward and stumbled across one of Smitty's posts talking about filing a complaint with the BBB with Capital One. So I said I haven't done that yet, let me give it a shot. So I did, I filed a complaint with the BBB, a second complaint with the CFPB, and sent a letter of validation demanding validation, verification, or removal. I used Grok to help me formulate my dispute demands, instructing it to incorporate FCRA and FDCPA as well as Supreme Court rulings that favored my situation. RARAH Yeah!!!
