Skill Ax.
Hi everyone! I'm looking for recommendations for skill assessments. My organization most commonly uses ABLLS or VBMAPP (and we've used FISH and Essentials for Living in the past as well). In my perfect world, I want something open-ended...I love the SHaRE for challenging behaviours, and I would love something that is adjacent for skill building! Any ideas?
The RBT Experience: A Series of Interviews
Thanks, @Matt Harrington, for the recommendation to share this with the group! :) Hey everyone! I'm a BCBA, state clinical director, and independent practitioner who also has a "blog" that's more of a library of resources for families and anyone ABA-adjacent. I recently started a series I've called (pretty uncreatively) The RBT Experience. I interviewed former and current behavior technicians to gain insights into some of their personal experiences in the field. While my sample size was very small, I don't promote this to be some exact scientific study--but the results should help to inform how we navigate supervision, family support, and more. Part 3 on parent participation (https://fromthenestbx.com/blog-the-rbt-experience-part-3) is my most recent installment but you can also check out my series Intro and Parts 1 (Welcome to ABA) and 2 (the physical and emotional impact of the RBT role). I hope to have Part 4 on supervision up soon.
ADHD in the clubhouse!
If you're interested in expanding ABA to ADHD spaces, check out our special interest group. We typically meet the first Friday of the month at 9 AM Pacific on Teams. I haven't scheduled the next one on the website but should get the registration up in the coming days. https://www.appliedbehavioral.health/adhd-sig

SBT in adult group homes?
Hey all! There are some amazing videos on here concerning SBT, IISCA, and Hanley's work in general. I write behavior plans for adults in group homes, and I have a unique situation with a young man with a very low tolerance to any demands and very high intensity aggressive/SIB behaviors. I'm brainstorming ways to run some SBT with this guy, but I'm struggling to find research articles on SBT in that environment or with that population, and it poses some unique challenges. Anyone have any experience with this or have any research articles you could recommend? Thanks in advance :)
In search of resources!
