Day 30!
Well today is day 30! It's been an eye opening experience and I've learnt a lot about specific foods and more importantly, foods that don't agree with me. I've also realised how mentally tough I really am.
Cravings for processed foods, especially sweet treats have diminished, however, once in a while I will treat myself to a Danish pastry 🤣
Before I started this program, I had a tin of chickpeas sitting in the cupboard that must have been there for six months. Now I'm eating a tin or two a week. Oven cooked Kale has become a keen favourite along with aubergine (never thought I'd be typing that) and quinoa, which, I didn't even know what is was until this program started. Still no coffee or tea, just hot water with a slice of lemon.
I still need to improve on my exercises and food planning, and will be adding these to my daily challenges.
So, since day 1 I have lost 24lbs, just over 2 inches off my waist and hips and 1.5 inches off my chest. I have so much more energy, enthusiasm and concentration day-to-day. And my clothes are feeling baggy. My goal now is to improve my muscle mass.
I will continue this healthy lifestyle, as I can't see myself going back to the old me, not even for Christmas 🤣 and who doesn't love Christmas treats!
For anyone on the start of thier journey, stick with it! You'll be glad that you did!
