Welcome Home (I've Been Waiting for You)
Hi sweet friend, I’m so glad you’re here. This group started in the most ordinary but special way. One night, I was sitting on my balcony with my boyfriend, eating dinner, sipping wine, and dreaming out loud about how amazing it would be to have friends who shared the same passions as me. I kept imagining what it would look like to create a space just for women like us, a place to laugh, learn, and feel less alone. When I woke up the next morning, my sweet boyfriend had surprised me by creating this group. Honestly, that moment was such a motivator for me. It made me realize even more how much I want to learn to love and serve him better, and also how much I long to hear from other women about the unique ways they pour into their homes and relationships. A little about me: I’ve loved homemaking for as long as I can remember. My mom worked as a house cleaner when I was little, and I’d tag along to help. That’s probably where I picked up the joy of noticing details, like folding towels just right or wrapping a gift so it makes someone light up. Even through college and now post-grad, I’ve realized how much those small things matter. Creating a cozy, cared-for space is something I can’t help but love. But here’s the truth: being in your 20s is not easy. I know from personal experience, it can feel lonely, confusing, and like you’re supposed to have it all figured out when you really don’t. That’s why this group matters so much to me. How to Housewife is here to remind us that we don’t have to do it alone. It’s a place where we can laugh about the flops, celebrate the little wins, share what’s working in our homes, and pour encouragement into one another. Think of this like a cozy sisterhood. We’re not here to be perfect, we’re here to grow together and make homemaking feel life-giving, not heavy. Now I’d love to hear from you! To start us off, share your name and your favorite Bible verse right now and why it’s speaking to you. I’ll go first in the comments so you can see an example. I can’t wait to get to know you, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. 💛

Proof you can do hard things
Quick life update because I’m honestly proud of myself 🥲 Yesterday my boyfriend and I did a LONG drive for the final stretch of my move. We started in South Florida, packed my entire car Sunday after church, said goodbye to my closest friends, and hit the road. We drove to the west coast of Florida, unloaded some stuff, stayed at his uncle’s house for the week, then went to Georgia for the weekend with literally all my stuff still in the car 😅 Of course a few things went wrong — speeding ticket, cracked windshield, just one of those weeks. Sunday we got back in the car, windshield broken, car packed to the brim, and drove straight to South Carolina, getting to my house around 9 p.m. Oh, I may have forgot to mention I have a cat. Everything you’re seeing here was done in 24 hours. And somehow I still made time to exercise, show up for my family, show up in my relationships, and show up for myself — without feeling like I was sacrificing one for another. I spent so much quality time with my family today, which made this whole thing feel even better. It was definitely hard (especially when my little brother came in and destroyed everything 😭), but I’m really proud of what I was able to do. Progression pics

What God’s Been Teaching Me About Love Lately
I have been in such a real season lately where God keeps bringing me back to the importance of relationships. With this move coming up and selling all my stuff, everything feels so real. And when my boyfriend came to visit for my birthday, it honestly hit me how much I had been missing with him. Long distance makes it easy to act like everything is fine, but seeing him in person showed me the little ways I had been neglecting our relationship. Not on purpose, just because life gets loud. It reminded me that love is honestly the most important thing we have. The Bible talks about that a lot. It reminds us that men are called to lead and women are called to support. And I know people hear that and think it means something old. But it is not that. Supporting your partner does not mean shrinking yourself. It means bringing peace. It means helping where he needs it. It means speaking life over him. It means being his strength when he is tired. Eve came from Adam’s rib which shows that we walk side by side. Equal. Different roles. Same worth. And I have been struggling with that balance. I live in a place where everyone is obsessed with work and career. And I love working too, but I have noticed that if something does not align with my purpose, it drains me. God has been showing me that my mission starts with the people He gave me. My family. My relationship. My friendships. If God has been showing you something about love or partnership lately and you feel comfortable sharing, I would love to hear it. These conversations always help me grow too.
The Power of Simple Words
The other morning I was getting ready, hair everywhere, coffee in hand, and I just said to my boyfriend, “I love flowers. They’re just so beautiful.” Totally random. That night, I got home from work and there they were. A vase of white roses with a handwritten note about how much he loves me. It made me realize sometimes people just need to hear what makes you happy. Say it out loud. You never know who’s listening. 🥰 What’s something small that makes you feel loved lately?
