So this happened...

Took my first Upwork contract. I was super excited at the prospect of working with someone professionally. Maybe collaborate and work on development if needed. Well... that didn't work out. 5 STEMS, one of them was the reference. One was the music already mixed (no vocals) and shortened... maybe pulled from the reference. I was asked to mix/Master. Also asked to used some of the vocals from the reference in the final. 🤷‍♂️

So other than feeling a little sus about legality, the customer told me it was horrible and my tempo was way off. I've been a drummer for over 35 years...I had to chop up the vocals to get them to align to the tempo and beat of the song. Not going to let this get me down... gonna keep working.
