Pivoting with Exercise: Listening, Adapting, and Staying Consistent
This morning, I woke up with a migraine. Instead of forcing a workout, I chose to sleep in - giving my body the space it needed. As I moved through the day, the pain eased. I realized I could swap today as a rest day instead (originally planned for tomorrow).
By listening to what my body needed in the moment, I felt better throughout the day. I stepped outside for a freezing cold walk at lunch and by some power of God, found myself walking the treadmill at 5:20pm to get the rest of my steps in for the day. by 5:20 p.m.
It was NOT my original plan, but it was movement. It was momentum.
This is discipline. Discipline isnt about rigidly following a plan, its about staying committed while adapting to life’s realities. When fitness becomes a habit, you make it happen. And when youre open to it, life will open doors for you to get it done.
Keep moving forward. Keep listening. Keep pivoting.
