Health Isn’t Just Physical — It’s Internal Work Too
Most people focus on the reps, the training, the aesthetics… But real health includes the parts no one sees. Every week I take myself through a sounds + salts bath — magnesium salts, warm water, candles, and Tibetan healing music. It’s one of the most important parts of my routine for keeping stress low and supporting my nervous system. Why I do it: • Sound baths help calm the nervous system and reduce stress • They support emotional processing by shifting the body out of fight‑or‑flight • They can help the body unwind patterns linked to past stress or trauma • Magnesium baths support muscle relaxation and recovery • The combination creates a deep internal reset My current favourite is Tibetan chants at 417 Hz — a frequency associated with releasing stagnant energy and supporting emotional clearing. It’s known for helping the body shift out of old patterns and into a more open, receptive state. Because health isn’t just what we build on the outside. It’s the inner work that keeps the whole system balanced. If you’ve been feeling stretched thin or stuck in old patterns, try adding one ritual that supports your inside as much as your outside. What’s one ritual you use to reset your nervous system

Breaking Down The Isolateral Leg Press
Today’s leg day came with a comedy moment — squeezing myself into the isolateral leg press like it’s a tiny studio apartment. But honestly… this machine has been worth every shuffle, squeeze, and awkward entry. See video -> https://youtube.com/shorts/7jDiqOkNmxE?si=zdkXQ1mzJetk0uZF The isolateral setup has been one of the biggest contributors to my comeback because it forces each leg to work independently. No cheating. No shifting. No letting my stronger side take over. Just honest, intentional reps. Here’s what it’s been helping me rebuild: • Correcting left–right strength imbalances • Improving knee tracking and stability • Re‑establishing quad dominance without my hips or SI joint compensating • Building strength in deep knee flexion • Keeping my form accountable — every rep tells the truth It’s a tight space, but the mission behind it is big. Sometimes the smallest setups give you the biggest progress. If you’ve been wanting to train with more intention, fix imbalances, or build a body that actually supports your lifestyle and goals, my coaching spots are open. My Pilates Blog Is Now Live
I’ve just added a brand‑new Blog section to my website — and it’s officially live. https://www.makingtimeforyoupilates.com/blog This has been on my heart for a while. I wanted a space where I could go deeper than a caption or a quick video… a place to share the “why” behind the movements, the principles that shape our practice, and the real‑life tools that help you move through your day with more ease, strength, and awareness. Right now, you’ll find: • 2 educational posts breaking down key Pilates concepts • 2 movement spotlights with clear cues and purpose behind each exercise These posts are written to help you understand your body, your technique, and the intention behind what we do in class — so you can take that knowledge into your everyday life. If you’d like to explore, the Blog is now linked directly on my website. I’ll be adding new posts regularly as part of building out more resources for you. If there’s a topic you’d love me to write about — a movement, a principle, a struggle you’re working through — tell me below. I’d love to create content that supports you.
