Halloween is this friday! I gotta be honest, I have never been the most exited about halloween, but this year is different. So my question for the group, what are you going to be for halloween? is it budget friendly and if so how much is your costume? I can't share my costume yet, but I gotta say it's a flat $0 dollars. It's been on my mind all morning. How many people out there are walking around with the wrong mindset when it comes to money? The thoughts that say "I can't make a budget" "My spouse and I will always fight about money" "Wealth is just not something I am supposed to have" All... Lies. 'I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me. ' Philippians 4:13 We can do. Anything. Because we are connected to someone who is greater than any struggle we face. So, is there some areas you have been a victim? Have you been a victor lately? Comment below, I would love to read it.

God says we should love him with everything we have, if we do that our lives will be pretty well off. Of course, we are human and we find it difficult to do that all the time. Things can get in the way if we are not carful, one of those things being money. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. We gotta make sure our money is not blinding us from what is truly important. So how? Set your priorities - God has to be first, the rest is up to you and the spirit. Your priorities will be very personal. for example, I started a business. Not everyone will start a business. Some are trying to avoid a financial hardship. some are preparing to get married, some divorced. But through it all, God comes first. After that I personally think it depends on the season you are currently in. Make a top five list and treat it like a commandment. That is living with wisdom, and that will lead you to a life of financial freedom. Feel free to share your top 5 in the comments below.

It sounds like homework, and if you have done one, it feels like a test. I won't deny it feels like that for a little while, but after some practice, it becomes easy. Theres a famous Chinese proverb that I love. "Anything must be hard, before it becomes easy." who is it from, is it actually Chinese? I don't know, but it's definitely wisdom. I've been hearing a lot on the topic of spiritual warfare, demons, and temptation. If you are reading this I am almost willing to bet you have been hearing about it to. Here is what I learned recently that stood out to me in relation to our pockets. The Devil wants you to think you can't win. We all know this, he wants to hurt our family, our health, our relationship with God and others, but something that blew me away was the reminder that he wants to destroy our finances. Here is the number one way he tried to keep us poor and broke... He wants us to think we are supposed to be that way... He wants us to accept this cursed identity that we aren't meant to win with money, and find out financial freedom. So how do we break free from this identity? James 4:7 NIV [7] Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. God makes it plane and simple, it's the devil that makes things perverse and confusing.
