Avoiding Fraud and Scams
Tip for the day: If someone calls you claiming you missed jury duty. It is a scam.
This happened to me recently. They knew my name, phone number, and address. They sent a legitimate address to the county sheriff's office. They knew all the right things to say. They had forged documents claiming a warrant for my arrest. The whole shebang.
If you are worried about a scam, just hang up on them and call the number to the place they are claiming to be to see if it is legitimate.
