Our CIC and what it does
Blue Tongue
I've just listened to Mark's latest talk on YouTube. I have noticed the supermarkets are not selling meat (not that I buy from them). Their fridges are empty. Notices say the issue is down to the heat and fridge breakdowns. I know their is a bigger picture to this. Don't be surprised if there is less protein esp. meat for sale. It takes something significant to happen then the establishment bring in the changes. Maybe the people will start to wake up or will it be too late. We need to keep growing our own and support the farmers.
Green Tomatoes
The majority of my tomatoes are green with a few slowly turning from orange to red. Is this because it is so hot? I was recommended to put nets up around the tomato plants to protect them from receiving so much heat. I'm unsure if this will help! Any tips?
I didn't really think this through....
I discovered some volunteer squash plants earlier in the year and decided that as they seemed to want to grow, I would let them. I transplanted them into a raised bed and that's where the problem lies. Because now, I've had to offer support to maintain the health of the plant. What you can't see in this picture is the makeshift hammock on the left, which is holding that part of the plants up. They are rapidly growing along the hooped wire panel on the right. I fully expect them to keep going..... I may not be able to get in the cage at this rate..... 😂

Courgettes
The first crop was great but since then they grow so far and then turn yellow/black. Why does this happen? Do they like alot of water?
