Island DJ Showcase March 20th
Stoked to be showcasing so much incredible talent from the Island. March 20th we are hosting the third night of our Island Showcase. Dedicated entirely to the versatile and unique DJs of Vancouver Island. Tickets available here Each night is a four-hour showcase featuring four island DJs, each taking an hour to do their thing and shape the flow of the night. This series is rooted in why we do what we do: uplifting island talent, supporting space-making, and strengthening the music culture that already exists here. After covering costs, all proceeds from the event are split equally between the DJs. Join us March 20th for a night of Island talent front and center with: Originally from the UK, Luvah brings years of deep musical roots and a serious love for vinyl culture. Music has been a lifelong passion from working in record shops and building a collection over nearly a decade, to hosting radio residencies, throwing underground parties, and playing clubs and festivals across the UK and Europe, including sets in Germany and Berlin. His sound is driven by groove, soul, and feeling. Expect a wide-ranging selection that pulls from 90s jungle and drum & bass, soul, disco, funk, house, and techno. Tammra, aka DJ sprouT, has been moving dance floors for over two decades. She brings a finely tuned ear for storytelling through sound, crafting sets that are immersive, full of heart, and just the right amount of sass. As a DJ, event curator, and promoter, her love of music and mix creation has taken her to various corners of the globe, leading her to play at numerous events, nightclubs, and festivals, including Wicked Woods Music Festival, Shambhala Music Festival, Bass Coast Project, and many more. The profound connection between music and the audience fuels her creativity and inspires her to continually push the boundaries of her craft. sprouT fuses deep, funky house and breaks with bass-forward, melodic, and percussive elements, creating eclectic mixes that flow with intention.
