31 Days of Writing Prompts
Starting soon! I've recorded 31 days of short and sweet prompts and ideas. I'll be in town and can upload them to YouTube tomorrow and then schedule them for a daily drip feed. A fun exercise for me now I'm teaching online. So anyway, I'll share the links here but this is the first of the series. You can take them in order or as you wish. Enjoy!

Writing Prompt!
I thought I'd mix it up and give you a writing prompt, inspired by teaching online again... For all the flash fiction writers here! Freewrite 500 words that uses the following three phrases. - a stench of unaired emotions - so many wrinkles, the iron was unplugged - to speak to you in the absence of underpants Go for it. Share below. I'll do the same and post my version on Sunday. Have fun!

Steps and Goals (May 10th)
As you know, I'm a firm believer in writing down what we plan to work on for the week ahead and then break it down into manageable steps. Sharing that adds weight and increases the likelihood we'll do what we say! For me then, it's a continuation (mostly) from last month. For April I recorded a short reel on the topic of art and art reveals, showing my process and paintings. On YouTube. I had amazing success and even enjoyed the process! This week and for the month of May, I will record one long-form video each week to help people overcome writer's block, or for anyone feeling stuck on their creative projects. I recorded one today and scheduled it for Tuesday. The steps on my list going forward are to - pick specific topic and questions, write the loose script, find image to suit and then create a new thumbnail. Oh and record myself! What about you? Any goals? Steps you can take and commit to?

Assignment #6
Feedback Time! Share a piece that you are working on below and ask a specific question for feedback. Let us know what you are unsure about, for example in a short story or excerpt, where did we, the reader, get lost. Or a piece of music or a painting or whatever creative idea you feel at a point to share. Let's start checking in with each other a bit more and helping out, okay?
Assignment #6
Weekly Goals and Steps (April 27th)
How did you do last week? Get anything done that felt good and want to tell us about it? What do you have in mind for this week? I post these questions each week because that potential accountability makes a difference, even if we're not public about what we're doing or why, if we sit with these questions, think about them for ourselves, we can't unknow (so to speak) what we learn. That new knowledge will linger and we have more agency, more choice about how we spend our time, what our direction and goals are, and even how to reach the destination. So sit with the suggestions, reflect a bit, and let the ideas linger. It will help. Promise.
