On LinkedIn, an impression is counted when a post appears in a member’s feed for at least 300 milliseconds with at least 50% of the post in view.
Breakdown of LinkedIn's Impression Metrics:
- Feed Impressions – When a post appears in someone's LinkedIn feed and meets the 300ms/50% view threshold.
- Article Impressions – When someone sees the article in their feed (not necessarily clicking on it).
- Video Impressions – When a video is displayed for at least 3 seconds.
Important Notes:
- Scrolling quickly past a post may not count as an impression if it does not meet the minimum view duration.
- A post viewed multiple times by the same user still counts as only one impression (unless seen on different sessions).
- Engagement (likes, comments, shares) does not directly impact impressions but helps expand reach by showing the post to more people.
Hope this helps you guys understand what LinkedIn Impressions are..
