What is considered an Impression on LinkedIn?
On LinkedIn, an impression is counted when a post appears in a member’s feed for at least 300 milliseconds with at least 50% of the post in view.
Breakdown of LinkedIn's Impression Metrics:
  1. Feed Impressions – When a post appears in someone's LinkedIn feed and meets the 300ms/50% view threshold.
  2. Article Impressions – When someone sees the article in their feed (not necessarily clicking on it).
  3. Video Impressions – When a video is displayed for at least 3 seconds.
Important Notes:
  • Scrolling quickly past a post may not count as an impression if it does not meet the minimum view duration.
  • A post viewed multiple times by the same user still counts as only one impression (unless seen on different sessions).
  • Engagement (likes, comments, shares) does not directly impact impressions but helps expand reach by showing the post to more people.
Hope this helps you guys understand what LinkedIn Impressions are..
How many impressions did you get on your content in the past year?
