🎯 LinkedIn Goals Tracker - Overview & Best Practices
We just created a GOAL PICKER so you can pick goals from 120 different common goals.
What Is This?
Your LinkedIn Goals Tracker is a comprehensive planning tool with 100+ proven LinkedIn goals across 9 categories. It helps you choose, customize, and track your 2026 success blueprint—all while keeping you accountable.
How It Works
1. Browse & Select Goals
  • Explore pre-loaded goals across Exposure, Credibility, Meetings, Network Expansion, List Building, Sales & Revenue, Organization, Engagement, and Authority Building
  • Check the box on any goal you want to commit to
  • Use search and filters to find relevant goals quickly
2. Personalize Each Goal
  • Add "Why This Matters to YOU" - your personal motivation
  • Include notes about how you'll execute or track progress
  • Edit quantities, frequencies, and cadences to match your situation
3. Add Custom Goals
  • Click "+ Add Custom Goal" to create goals specific to your business
  • Fill in all fields: name, category, importance, benefit, quantity, frequency, cadence, and type
4. Track & Export
  • Your selections auto-save to your browser
  • Export selected goals as a text file or CSV for printing/sharing
  • Download your complete goal list anytime
5. Stay Accountable
  • Add accountability partners with their contact info
  • Share your exported goals with them monthly
  • Use partners to maintain consistency and momentum
Best Practices
Start Strategic, Not Overwhelming
Don't select all 100+ goals! Start with 15-20 high-impact goals across different categories. You can always add more later.
Balance Process & Product Goals
  • Process goals = actions you control (posting 5x/week, making 3 intros daily)
  • Product goals = results you want (1000 clients, 200 meetings/month)
  • Aim for 70% process, 30% product for better control and motivation
Use the "Why This Matters" Field
This is YOUR secret weapon. When motivation dips, reading why this goal matters to YOU reignites commitment. Be specific and emotional here.
Customize Quantities Realistically
The suggested quantities are guidelines. Adjust them based on:
  • Your current capacity and schedule
  • Your business stage and resources
  • Your industry and target audience
  • Your realistic bandwidth
Review Weekly, Audit Monthly
  • Weekly: Check your selected goals, update notes on progress
  • Monthly: Export your list, review with accountability partners
  • Quarterly: Adjust quantities and add/remove goals based on results
Connect Goals to Your Big Why
Your daily LinkedIn actions (process goals) should directly feed your big outcomes (product goals). For example:
  • 2 LinkedIn Lives/week → Builds authority → Gets 40 leads/day → Books 10 meetings/day → Closes 1000 clients/year
Use Accountability Partners Wisely
Choose 2-4 people who:
  • Are also committed to LinkedIn growth
  • Will actually check in with you regularly
  • Understand your business and goals
  • Won't just be "yes people" but will challenge you
Pro Tips
  • Batch review your goals Sunday night before your week starts
  • Screenshot your selected goals as phone wallpaper for daily reminders
  • Share your top 5 goals publicly on LinkedIn for social accountability
  • Celebrate small wins—every goal completed deserves recognition!
Remember: Goals without action are just wishes. The tracker gets you organized—YOU make them happen. BOOM! 💥
