The Weight I Carry in Silence
Lately, I don't know what's been happening to me. Even when I'm driving, it's as though I'm on autopilot. I'm not fully present or thinking clearly about where I'm going. At times I even forget where people live, and it takes me a while to realise what I was supposed to be doing. 😟
🫩 There's this constant heaviness that I can't seem to shake. I feel as though I'm walking around in a daze, almost disconnected from everything around me. Sometimes I'll pull over to the side of the road and just sit there—not really thinking about anything in particular—simply wondering, "What am I doing? What's happening to me?"
I have a strong feeling that this is connected to losing my sister, and perhaps also to feeling like I've gone backwards in my health journey. It feels as though the weight of grief and the disappointment of that setback have settled over me, making it difficult to think clearly, stay focused, or feel like myself. 😢
