Seek to Love, Not for Revenge
"I will get them back."
"I'm gonna give them a piece of my mind."
"I hope they get what they deserve!"
These are things we have all said at one point and time.
We often try to take revenge into our own hands.
Sometimes, we knowingly or unknowingly curse others and wish bad upon them.
However, Jesus tells us to...
-curse those who curse you
-pray for those who abuse you
If our first instinct is to always curse people out and wish bad on them, we need to mature and grow up.
Jesus, even when he was crucified, asked God to forgive those who hung Him.
So, if Jesus did "get back" those who hung Him on the cross, surely we can work to hold our tongues and pray for others.
Let us follow the example of Jesus to not seek revenge but to walk in love as much as we can.
